The Official Launch Event of the Lebanese Association for Motor Yacht Owners Posted on May 19, 2015
On Tuesday, May 05, 2015, the launch event of the Lebanese Association for Motor Yacht Owners took place at La Marina Joseph Khoury-Dbaye in the presence of the association’s founding Members Messrs. Carl Bistany, Serge Bakhos, Mohammed Rai, Faysal El Khalil, Georges Mouawad, and Charles El-Haje, as well as government officials representing the Ministry of Transport, Mr. Abdel Hafiz Al-Qaysi – Managing Director, and Mrs. Elham Khabaz – Ministry Representative. A number of yacht owners, dealers, and suppliers were also present.
The event began with Mr. Carl Bistany’s presentation that shed the light on the association’s mission, objectives, and benefits including but not limited to educational and networking experiences and building strategic relations with the concerned authorities.
Mr. Serge Bakhos took over the second half of the presentation to share with the attendees the various website features available exclusively to members. Mr. Bakhos presented a demo of the website while emphasizing on the forum and experience features, as well as the partners discounts available for members to benefit from both international and local offers.
With a cutting-edge website, members have full access to make use of a variety of benefits where they can share experiences, technical information, tips, expertise, and expand skill sets.
During the event, the attendees contributed and shared their thoughts and concerns. The Ministry of Transport was very responsive and promising about collaborating with the association to raising their voice to the concerned authorities.
A cocktail buffet followed that evening, attended by over 100 guests. Members and invitees were able to enjoy an enchanting night on the outdoor terrace where they shared thoughts and exchanged ideas.
The Lebanese Association for Motor Yacht Owners prides itself for being a non-profit, non-political, non-religious association that aims to encourage, promote, and develop members’ knowledge and enjoyment of all aspects of motor yachting in addition to contributing to the protection of the marine environment.
